Legislation is notoriously difficult for the non-specialist to interpret, and your auditors need to be both competent and impartial. All companies, particularly those certified to ISO 14001, need to evaluate their compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Business Sustain's trained auditors will work with you to assess your legal compliance and generate a specific report highlighting any areas that need to be addressed. Our legal compliance audits have been praised by major assessing bodies and are seen as best practice.
A register of legislation is a record of the health and safety legislation which is applicable to an organisation's activities, products and services. It summarises obligations for compliance and is an effective way of meeting the requirements of OHSAS 18001.
Our service will provide you with a tailored document which details the duties placed on your organisation by each individual piece of legislation, and the relevance of your activities to it. It will also alert you to forthcoming changes in the law, to assist you in ensuring continued compliance. Updates to the register are issued every six months.
