The course takes place over two days and covers all the clauses of the ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001 standards, important current environmental and health & safety legislation, and explains how to audit each clause.

It provides delegates with a working understanding of the HSEMS audit process, how it may be applied within an organisation, the background and principles of auditing, and the purpose and structure of audit activities. The course also covers the process of developing audit strategies and conducting and developing effective, comprehensive audits and audit reports.

Upon completion of the course delegates will be able to:

• Plan, conduct and report health, safety and environmental audits
• Judge the performance of HSEMS in meeting the requirements of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Ascertain if an in-house HSEMS's own requirements are being adhered to
• Carry out follow-up actions

Preventing Pollution - Control of Your refrigerant Gases

Many organisations use a variety of refrigerant gases for process and comfort cooling and often do not understand the legislative requirements surrounding this topic. There are legal requirements to ensure that certain equiment is leak tested, serviced by competent engineers, and to ensure that equipment is running effectively an energy assessment should be carried out.
