Business Sustain is an EU-funded partnership between Coventry City Council, Jaguar, Land Rover and the Accelerate Programme, comprising a team of environmental and sustainability advisors based at Land Rover, Solihull.
Put simply, we provide training, consultancy services and advice on environmental and sustainability management to business. We offer a range of services from environmental awareness training through to helping you develop a sustainability management system. Our training services vary from one-to-one advice, to seminars with over 200 attendees.
Business Sustain has played a key role raising environmental management standards in the sector. We have provided a range of training and consultancy services to over 250 Small to Medium sized Enterprises*(SMEs) from the West Midlands region. We have a robust 10-step process to implement the environmental management standard ISO 14001: 2004 in both large and small companies. Over 100 SMEs have achieved certification using our environmental management system (EMS) implementation process, and this number continues to grow.
Michael Meacher (Environmental Minister from May 1997 to June 2003) has deemed our process of engaging the supply chain to develop their environmental policy as an example of good environmental best practice. The Business Sustain partnership supported Jaguar and Land Rover to receive a major commendation in the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Awards, 2005.
